DV Standards Purpose

DV standards:

• Are used by the DVC to determine whether the SO’s data reported to CMS per the Part C and Part D Reporting Requirements and Technical Specifications are correct, valid, prompt, and reliable
• Assess an SO’s information system’s capabilities and its processes for collecting, storing, compiling, and reporting Part C or D data
• Are located in the EES (Appendix B) which can be downloaded from the Part C and Part D Data Validation webpage
• Note that DV Standards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 are the same for each reporting section and are based on general criteria for the CY 2025 DV cycle
