Data Extraction & Sampling Overview

The DVC confirms each reporting section’s data against the standards and sub-standards as shown in the EES.

CMS allows 2 methods to extract data for each reporting section. The DVC decides which method is appropriate for each reporting section.

For each method, the DVC examines source data to verify the underlying data are correct, like reviewing customer service call logs or member letters to verify that SOs properly categorized the reporting section.
