Extraction of the Sample Data

The following table lists the sampling unit and the minimum sample size for each Part D reporting section. Note that these are only minimum sample sizes and larger samples may be necessary.

Note: The Medication Therapy Management Program reporting section doesn’t appear in this table because there should be no requirement to sample the data instead of a census file since the beneficiary upload file can serve as the census file.
